How companies master the change in marketing & communications
The newsrooms of WetterOnline, ewz, voestalpine and Debeka, the state of public authority communications in Germany, videos in internal communications and little helpers for social media managers – you’ll find all this and more in the fifth issue of our 60-page magazine Corporate Newsroom.
There is not just one newsroom concept. This becomes clear, for example, in Andreas Offermann’s survey in the banking and insurance industry in which he puts a focus on the topic of storytelling. At his employer, Debeka, the newsroom model has been modified so that channel managers can also be responsible for a topic at the same time – topic responsibility is therefore not tied to specific individuals.
Hamburg is – behind Seattle and Toulouse – the third largest aviation location in the world. The ZAL Zentrum für Angewandte Luftfahrtforschung (Center for Applied Aviation Research) plays an important role in this ecosystem. On 26,000 square meters, there are laboratories, large halls and offices where up to 600 people can work. However, the Corona pandemic, distance rules and working from home office are currently making professional and informal exchanges difficult. We spoke to Miriam Flügger, Head of Corporate Communications, about their communication challenges.
When the young Friedrich Heinrich Bertling founded his shipping company in June 1865, he could simply round up his employees in the port of Lübeck for important announcements. Over 155 years later, the Bertling Group’s internal communications are much more difficult. More than 700 employees all over the world have to be reached.
Since 2020, the logistics company has been relying more and more on video formats. You can see an example here. Read in the magazine how Bertling went about establishing video content.
